Erdan against Likud: "This is no longer the original Likud I grew up on"
Yashar party chairman Gilad Erdan attacked Likud in an interview with Radio North, saying the party is "no longer the original Likud" due to its alliance with the Haredi parties. Erdan, a former Likud member for 30 years, claimed Likud makes promises to voters and then "does very bad things" to the serving public and reserve soldiers' families. He called for unity and set a condition for joining the government.
Yashar party chairman Gilad Erdan sharply attacked Likud in an interview with Radio North 104.5FM, saying "this is no longer the original Likud I grew up on." Erdan, who was a Likud member for 30 years and ran for the Knesset six times, claimed that the alliance with the Haredi parties leads the party to act against its values. He noted that "Likud makes promises and then does very bad things" to the serving public and reserve soldiers' families. Erdan also addressed the Likud primaries, saying he saw Haredi members linked to Agudat Yisrael and Itamar Ben-Gvir publishing a list of recommendations. He called for unity, not uniformity, and set a condition for joining the government: "The sides need to sit together."
