ESC BAZ, an Israeli defense electronics manufacturer, recently presented a series of new border protection and defense systems to senior IDF officers and defense establishment officials. The systems were developed based on lessons from the October 7 attack and conclusions from three years of fighting. The first system, 'Achiza Namuch' ('Low Grip'), combines AI with automated detection and tracking, and has already been deployed along Israel's borders. A defense official called it a global breakthrough for nighttime image clarity. The 'Guard Sense' system integrates SIGINT to detect electronic devices and is designed to counter the 'disappearing enemy' in dense terrain. Another system installed on Namer APCs and Merkava tanks provides 360° awareness and drone detection. The 'Aviv-SR' system, demonstrated to Brig.-Gen. Oren Simha and Brig.-Gen. Erez Elkabetz, combines radar with long-range observation for monitoring targets several kilometers away.
