Eldar Dayan Disappearance Case: Investigation Split Between Southern and Central Districts

Israel Police has split the investigation into the disappearance of Eldar Dayan between two districts: the Southern District will investigate the disappearance itself, and the Central District the brawl and the abandoned vehicle. Two of Dayan's friends were arrested and gave conflicting accounts during questioning, after which they were transferred to the Central District. A search of an apartment in the central region yielded nothing. Two other young men were released to eight-day house arrest. Police still have no lead on Dayan's whereabouts. Clothes found on the roadside at the entrance to Petah Tikva do not belong to the missing man. Dayan was last seen at a gas station in Park Yehoshua in Tel Aviv, and his last phone ping was in the Petah Tikva area. His disappearance date: July 17, 2026. His family estimated he got into a brawl with Eritreans, and that seven people were involved. They filed a missing person report.
