Elbit reveals the future battlefield: AI systems that will operate an army of robots
Elbit Systems, through its subsidiary FUSE, has unveiled autonomous AI-based systems for managing a robotic battlefield including drone swarms, autonomous vehicles, and fire and logistics arrays. The systems have accumulated over one million operational flight hours and hundreds of thousands of ground operation hours, and are already deployed in Israel, the US, and Europe.
Elbit Systems, through its subsidiary FUSE, has unveiled advanced autonomous systems for managing a future robotic battlefield. The systems are based on a unified AI-powered operating system called Dominion-X, enabling centralized coordination of autonomous swarms and distributed arrays of aerial and ground systems, even in GPS-denied environments. The display included capabilities for operating logistics convoys and casualty evacuation with autonomous vehicles, maneuver arrays with personal and squad weapons, and a drone array with a flight range of over one hundred kilometers. Some drones are capable of airdropping equipment and supplies, including blood units for the IDF deep in the field, as well as conducting attacks using drop drones and suicide drones. FUSE's solutions have accumulated over one million operational flight hours and over one hundred thousand autonomous ground operation hours, and thousands of platforms have been supplied to customers worldwide. The systems are already operationally deployed in Israel, the United States, and Europe, supporting ongoing missions and military modernization programs. The company emphasizes that the systems are designed to increase the operational tempo, expand combat mass, and improve force survivability while reducing risk to soldiers.
