El Al prepares a revolution in the skies — dozens of new flights on the way

The average age of the aircraft reached 15 years. The company owns 40 aircraft, with 10 more under dry lease. To meet demand, wet leasing is actively used: on average 6.2 aircraft per quarter, and at the end of June, eight narrow-body and one cargo aircraft. The fleet includes 18 Boeing 737-800s (average age 20.9 years), eight 737-900s (11.6 years), one cargo aircraft, 17 Dreamliners (four 787-8 and 13 787-9), and six Boeing 777-200s (about 23 years). In the second half of 2026, four aircraft are expected to arrive, increasing the fleet to 52 by the end of the year. From 2027, an additional 13 aircraft are planned, including 10 Dreamliners and 31 Boeing 737 MAX. The company exercised an option for six 787s, converting four to 787-10. All plans depend on market conditions.
