Eisenkot's first reaction to the Likud primary results

According to him, despite festive statements, the list for the 26th Knesset elections has hardly changed compared to those who represented the party in parliament on October 7. Eisenkot accused the elected candidates of 'shamelessly splitting Israeli society' and 'blindly leading Israel to the most severe disaster.' He specifically mentioned five members of the 'failure cabinet' who were in the government on the eve of the war, and said they bear responsibility for 'the most terrible negligence.' According to him, instead of taking responsibility, these politicians 'clung to their seats at any cost' and worsened the situation by 'legalizing mass draft evasion during wartime.' Eisenkot stated that the elected Likud representatives are incapable of securing victory and uniting society. He concluded by addressing disappointed Likud supporters, saying that a political alternative exists for them, and called for choosing responsible leadership.
