Shaul Meridor, a candidate in the "Yashar!" party led by Gadi Eisenkot, attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for attending a concert by Eden Ben Zaken, calling it "customs of kings, not of leaders of a nation." In an interview on 103fm, Meridor also criticized the Shin Bet's refusal to provide security for Eisenkot and the remarks of Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar.

Shaul Meridor, a candidate in the "Yashar!" party led by Gadi Eisenkot, sharply attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for attending a concert by singer Eden Ben Zaken on Thursday. In an interview on Radio 103fm this morning (Sunday), Meridor said ironically that he fears Netanyahu and the other attendees do not know the lyrics of the songs, and added that this is "customs of kings, not of leaders of a nation." Meridor called on Netanyahu to go out into the field and meet with the people instead of arriving at a secured compound at Menora Mivtachim Arena. Additionally, Meridor wondered why his party chairman, Gadi Eisenkot, is not being secured by the Shin Bet, and expressed hope that the consideration is not political. He warned that Eisenkot is in contact with people across the country, and that it is easy to reach him, which poses a risk that the State of Israel cannot take. In response to criticism from Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar about Eisenkot, Meridor said: "Let the carrot rise and strike the gardener," and added that Sa'ar has lost his voters and his way.
