Eisenkot on attack on Yashar party activist: 'Political violence'

In his letter, Eisenkot emphasized that violence of this kind, 84 days before the elections, could be a very serious sign of what awaits the country during this period, and it cannot be tolerated. He urged immediate action, noting that this is politically motivated violence. Manes was attacked last week while trying to tear down a poster calling for the release of Yigal Amir, the assassin of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. Following the attack, the activist's condition deteriorated, and he was hospitalized.
