Banai said on his Galei Tzahal radio show: 'Whoever believes him should be afraid. The truth is I don't believe him at all, yet I am afraid.' He also attacked the Religious Zionism propaganda video, which showed MK Gilad Kariv (The Democrats) alongside pigs and bacon strips, two days before Tisha B'Av. Banai warned of baseless hatred that would intensify ahead of the elections, quoting Rabbi Ashlag who said two things remained from the destruction: the Western Wall and baseless hatred. Both videos received widespread criticism from right and left.
