Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty stressed on Wednesday the need for regional and international pressure to ensure the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and US President Donald Trump's plan for the Gaza Strip. In press statements, he emphasized the importance of intensifying international efforts to advance the peace process, noting an Arab and Islamic consensus to move against Israel's expansionist occupation policies. Abdelatty called for an end to what he described as the occupation's inhumane practices against Gaza's residents and for addressing the rise in settler violence in the West Bank. He explained that the current phase requires a more effective international stance to curb the occupation's violations and support efforts to achieve stability and end the suffering of civilians in the Palestinian territories. This statement comes as delegations head to Cairo to continue negotiations on the second phase of the ceasefire agreement.
