Efrat Rayten: 'Everyone understands you can't send 70,000 draft orders in one day'

MK Efrat Rayten (The Democrats) defended Yair Golan's remarks on the ultra-Orthodox conscription issue, saying everyone understands that sending 70,000 draft orders in one day is impossible. She attacked the government over the conscription failure and noted that concerns about reduced flights around the elections are not unfounded, after receiving a terse response from the government.

MK Efrat Rayten from the Democrats party defended the remarks of party chairman Yair Golan on the issue of ultra-Orthodox conscription. In an interview with 103FM, Rayten said that "everyone understands that you can't send 70,000 orders in one day," and emphasized that Golan, who served for 40 years, knows the processes the army needs. She attacked the government for doing nothing on the conscription issue, and noted that as a member of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, she saw the previous law as a waste of time and resources. Additionally, Rayten addressed the report of a possible intention to reduce the number of flights around the elections, saying she received a terse and suspicious response from the government, which led her to conclude that "our concerns about the government's conduct are not unfounded."
