Economy launches 'Electronic Import Notification' service to regulate markets and protect consumers

The Ministry of National Economy in Gaza announced the free launch of the 'Electronic Import Notification' service, aiming to accelerate digital transformation and end paper transactions. The system imposes proactive oversight and technical inspection on goods before they enter the sector to prevent the leakage of spoiled or non-compliant food, and works to close loopholes for smuggling dangerous materials and regulate trade flows.

The Ministry of National Economy in Gaza announced the completely free launch of the 'Electronic Import Notification' service, a strategic step aimed at accelerating digital transformation and ending bureaucratic paper transactions. The ministry explained that this digital system imposes proactive oversight and strict technical inspection on all incoming goods and products before they enter the sector, to ensure the prevention of any spoiled or non-compliant food or commodity from leaking in. The new service acts as a shield to protect society by closing loopholes for smuggling dangerous materials, in addition to regulating trade flows to prevent dumping policies and monopolistic practices, ensuring diversity of goods, price stability, and protecting the rights of merchants and consumers. The ministry called on all merchants and importers to immediately start using the service through the dedicated electronic portal.
