During Rosh Hashanah: IDF continued to strike Hamas - and eliminated another senior commander

Alongside him, a company commander and additional operatives were eliminated. Simultaneously, weapons depots and terrorist infrastructure were attacked as part of the effort to halt the organization's rehabilitation in the Strip. According to the Shin Bet and IDF, al-Yazuri held a series of roles in the brigade, including deputy commander of the Khan Yunis Brigade, commander of the combat support battalion, and head of the intelligence department. He was responsible for managing the brigade's terrorist activity and directing them to carry out terrorist plots against IDF forces and Israeli civilians. The IDF says he conducted sniper training in the Strip with the aim of harming civilians and forces operating in the yellow line area. Recently, he worked to rebuild Hamas's capabilities while violating the ceasefire. Lately, the IDF and Shin Bet have been intensifying targeted operations in Gaza, focusing on Hamas and Islamic Jihad officials involved in force buildup. According to a security source, Hamas is trying to accumulate weapons and firepower in case of further fighting and to advance guerrilla warfare against IDF forces in the security zone and the yellow line.
