The tours were scheduled as part of education and heritage workshops, and organizers were asked to wait until after the elections. The IDF confirmed that in accordance with the law, in the two months before the elections, no advocacy activities on non-military topics will be held.

The IDF canceled tours for soldiers at the Rabin Center in Tel Aviv, which were planned for last week, due to the proximity of the Knesset elections. This was reported in the Kan News broadcast. The tours were scheduled as part of education and heritage workshops for soldiers, and their organizers were informed that they could not visit the center until after the elections. The Rabin Center, dedicated to commemorating Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin who was assassinated against a political backdrop, deals with discourse within Israeli society. The center says its role is not to blur disagreements, but to conduct an open and respectful discussion while agreeing on the boundaries of political discourse. The IDF confirmed the details and stated that in accordance with the law and military orders, in the two months before election day, no advocacy activities will be held in units except for military, technical, or scientific topics, and Hebrew lessons. According to the military, from August 27 until election day, meetings with external parties and civilian entities in education and advocacy activities will be reduced, including visits to museums and sites including the Rabin Center.
