Due to heatwave, Israel bans lighting campfires in nature

Due to the extreme heat expected from July 31 to August 2, Israel has imposed an absolute ban on lighting fires in nature reserves and national parks, except in designated areas. Tourist routes may be closed.

Due to the extreme heat forecast for July 31 – August 2, the Israel Nature and Parks Authority has announced an absolute ban on lighting campfires in nature. The ban is imposed by order of the fire service due to the high risk of fires. The only exceptions are specially designated areas. In addition, tourist routes across the country may be closed. The measure is aimed at preventing wildfires during the abnormal heatwave.
