A drone fell near the home of National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir in the Givat HaAvot neighborhood of Kiryat Arba, causing great panic among security forces who were called to the scene. The IDF inspected the drone and determined it contained no explosives. It later emerged that the drone belonged to a local teenager and had fallen on Friday. No injuries were reported. The minister's office stated that Ben Gvir was updated by security officials and that "the minister and his family are safe." The incident occurs amid heightened security around the minister, after police and Shin Bet announced the arrest of Muhammad Awad, a 29-year-old resident of Nazareth, suspected of attempting to join Hamas and promote attacks, including an attempt to harm Minister Ben Gvir. In response, Ben Gvir said: "This is the ninth time that terrorist organizations have targeted me and tried to harm me. I thank the General Security Service, Israel Police, Prison Service Intelligence, Magen Unit, and above all, the Almighty God, who prevents the terrorists from harming me and my family."
