A new fast-charging complex has opened on Highway 90, in the town of Uvot in the northern Arava, against the backdrop of the increase in the number of electric vehicles in Israel. The complex, established by Amishragrin, includes four DC fast-charging stations, a solar system, and an electricity storage unit. The stations can be activated using a credit card or an app. The company noted that the complex is intended to address one of the main difficulties for electric vehicle drivers traveling to Eilat – the shortage of fast-charging stations along Highway 90, especially during vacation periods and summer. The system stores electricity from solar panels and the grid during low-demand hours, enabling continuous charging around the clock. Peter Agenko, VP of Technology at Amishragrin, said this is a unique project combining expertise in photovoltaic systems and storage to overcome the limitations of the local grid.
