The operation will take place from early morning hours until night, from the north of the country to the south, focusing on key roads mapped by the Traffic Division.
The Israel Police has announced a widespread enforcement operation that will take place tomorrow (Wednesday, September 9, 2026) on the country's roads. The operation will focus on life-threatening traffic offenses and road bullying, and will include the deployment of hundreds of police officers and patrol cars on urban and intercity roads from the north of the country to the south. Enforcement will be carried out using a variety of means: motorcycles, still and tactical cameras, drones, and the police air unit that will document offenses from a 'bird's eye view'. In a police spokesperson's statement, it was reported that the activity will take place from early morning hours until late night hours, according to the focus on key roads as mapped by the Research and Development Department in the Traffic Division. All units of the Traffic Division will participate in the operation: the national motorcycle patrol, the national traffic police, a heavy vehicle unit that will deploy along Highway 6, and the enforcement equipment section. Many volunteers will also join. The operation is part of the determined fight to curb road fatalities, within the framework of a joint operation of the Traffic Division and the National Road Safety Authority – 'Committed to Life'.
