Medics and MDA who were called to the scene determined Kadoshim's death; he was unconscious with a penetrating injury. In the incident, a 29-year-old man was lightly injured, apparently a passerby. The murder investigation was assigned to the central unit of the Negev district. It was also learned that there is a suspicion that some of those involved are no longer in the country.
