Drama on the Sea of Galilee: Two SUP Surfers Drifted and Rescued from Deep Water

Two SUP surfers drifted into the depths of the Sea of Galilee near an unmarked beach close to Shkafim Beach. Beach manager Tzivka Milstein and lifeguard Moshe Vazana rescued them using a jet ski from a distance of over 600 meters from shore. The surfers were rescued exhausted but healthy. The control room of the Kinneret Union of Cities received an urgent call to beach manager Tzivka Milstein, who summoned lifeguard Moshe Vazana. Vazana went out on a jet ski, located the surfers at a distance of over 600 meters from shore, and brought them aboard, exhausted but healthy. They were brought to shore and received treatment from the beach teams. The Kinneret Union of Cities again warns against swimming at unmarked beaches and emphasizes that afternoon winds on the Sea of Galilee are strong and can cause drifting.
