Dozens of Projects Starting This Month: 'Peace Council' Plan for the Day After in Gaza Revealed

A document revealed on Kan News exposes over sixty projects by the 'Peace Council' for the 'day after' in Gaza, set to begin from August through January 2027. The projects include infrastructure, economic acceleration, a tech park, hospital rehabilitation, clearing rubble and unexploded ordnance, a security unit for the technocrats committee, and detention facilities. A document revealed this evening on the Kan News broadcast, distributed for fundraising purposes, details more than sixty projects by the 'Peace Council' intended to constitute the 'day after' in the Gaza Strip. According to sources familiar with the matter, the projects do not focus on rehabilitating the Strip but rather on infrastructure, economic acceleration, and several internal security projects. Among other things, pilot zones and additional humanitarian camps will be established, where a tech employment program ('Gaza Tech Park') will begin; hospitals will be rehabilitated, and rubble and unexploded ordnance will be cleared. A VIP protection unit will be established to secure the members of the technocrats committee, who have so far not entered Gaza due to security concerns. Police detention facilities and programs to support the multinational force will also be established. Some projects will be implemented early on, but others depend on the budget the Peace Council hopes to raise and on Israeli approval. Last Friday, US President Donald Trump announced that the council had 'reached a historic deal to disarm Hamas and the other armed groups in the Strip.' According to the agreement, in the first 14 days Hamas will cease its military activity, and then the disarmament process will begin. Israel will need to observe a ceasefire in accordance with the agreement from last October. Hamas conveyed its consent to the United States, Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey. In the Strip, it was reported that since the evening hours, 18 Palestinians have been killed in IDF strikes.
