Dog Finds Drugs: 1.6 kg of Crystal Meth Seized in Vehicle at Beit Kama

Border Police National Guard South fighters and Southern District YMR detectives seized yesterday 1.6 kilograms of a substance suspected to be crystal meth, hidden in a vehicle at the Beit Kama junction. The drugs were located with the help of police dog Ikra inside the hood and behind the rear seats. Two suspects, aged 22, residents of the Bedouin diaspora, were arrested. In another operation in Rahat, an underground money exchange business was exposed, and large sums of money in Israeli and foreign currency were seized.

Border Police National Guard South fighters and Southern District YMR detectives seized yesterday (Wednesday) 1.6 kilograms of a substance suspected to be crystal meth, hidden inside a vehicle at the Beit Kama junction. The seizure was made possible as part of a covert operation, and during the search, with the help of police dog Ikra, the drugs were found inside the hood and behind the rear seats. Following the discovery, two suspects, aged 22, residents of the Bedouin diaspora, were arrested and taken for questioning. The vehicle was seized. In another operation, conducted the day before yesterday by Rahat station detectives and National Guard South fighters, an underground money exchange business was exposed from a vehicle in the Rahat industrial area. Large sums of money were seized: 139,942 shekels, 646 dollars, 10,305 Jordanian dinars, and 440 euros. Two suspects, aged 44 and 72, residents of Rahat, were arrested. The police stated that they will continue to act against drug offenses and economic crime.
