Documentation: IDF soldier shoots at Palestinian who was just standing in front of him

An IDF soldier was documented today (Saturday) shooting at a Palestinian who was standing in front of him, in the area of the village of Faqqua in the Gilboa. The footage shows the Palestinian looking to the left, and immediately afterward three gunshots are heard. The Palestinian was wounded and evacuated by the Red Crescent to a hospital. The IDF did not say in response that the Palestinian posed a threat to the forces, and stated that the incident is being investigated by commanders and its findings will be forwarded for review by the relevant authorities. The military said the shooting occurred after a report was received of "friction" between Israeli civilians and Palestinians near the village of Faqqua, east of Jenin. "An IDF force at the point fired into the air and at a Palestinian," the military said. The village of Faqqua is located near the border with the Gilboa, and not far from it lies Kibbutz Ma'ale Gilboa.
