Meanwhile, the investigation has been transferred to the Sharon District Central Unit, after the Dimona station said it had exhausted its search efforts. The central unit of the Central District will also handle the investigation of the brawl that preceded the disappearance. A day earlier, the Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court extended for the third time the detention of two of Dayan's friends, Omri Peretz and Maxim Barbarman. The two are suspected of being involved in a brawl with five young men, during which they tried to run them over. They are also suspected of obstruction of justice and threats to kill Dayan. According to the suspicion, Dayan arrived at a meeting with his friends, a brawl broke out, and the three tried to flee in a car, hitting five participants who were lightly injured. The car was abandoned at a gas station in Petah Tikva, and the license plates were removed. Peretz and Barbarman returned to Dimona, but Dayan disappeared. The two gave different versions: one claimed they were attacked by Eritreans, the other denied involvement. Investigators found fingerprints and bloodstains in the car. Police estimate that Dayan is hiding in the Petah Tikva area.
