The meeting was attended by IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, Head of the Operations Directorate Major General Itzik Cohen, Head of Military Intelligence (AMAN) Major General Shlomi Binder, Commander of the Central Command Major General Avi Bluth, and other senior officers. Katz ordered the expansion of offensive operations against Palestinian terror and preparations to capture another refugee camp, using the model applied in the Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nur al-Shams camps. The decision was made against the backdrop of ongoing IDF operations in Judea and Samaria.
