Defense Minister Katz: "I ordered the IDF to actively act against the launch of kites from Gaza"

Defense Minister Israel Katz issued an order to the IDF to actively act against the launches of balloons, kites, and drones from the Gaza Strip towards the Israeli communities of the Gaza Envelope. According to the report, the directive includes a range of measures: the elimination of Hamas leaders responsible for the launches, as well as the perpetrators themselves; the evacuation of neighborhoods and areas from which launches are carried out; and actions against terrorist infrastructure on site. The decision was made amid ongoing attempts to use airborne devices to deliver incendiary devices and explosives into Israeli territory. Katz emphasized the need to prevent the threat emanating from the south.
