As part of a joint enforcement operation by the police and the Tax Authority, 10 vehicles were seized this week in Baqa al-Gharbiyye due to tax debts totaling approximately 4.5 million shekels. The operation involved officers from the Baqa al-Gharbiyye police station in the Coastal District, employees of the Northern Collection Enforcement Unit of the Tax Authority, and fighters from the Menashe YSM. The operation focused on debtors to the Haifa VAT and Income Tax offices, as part of the fight against economic crimes and the effort to increase enforcement in the area. During the operation, the vehicles were located and seized, and were transferred for further handling by the Tax Authority in accordance with its powers. The police and the Tax Authority stated that cooperation between enforcement bodies will continue as part of the fight against economic crimes, strengthening the rule of law, and maintaining public order.
