An inspection initiated by local authority inspectors in Yokneam Illit revealed serious violations in its production: the product is manufactured under unknown conditions without a license. The drink is a mixture of fruits and khat leaves, which contradicts Israeli food safety legislation. According to local regulations, khat leaves are permitted only in their natural, unprocessed form for traditional purposes. The manufacturer and importer are unknown. Food service specialists at the Ministry of Health are continuing inspections aimed at identifying counterfeits, illegal production, and cases of food fraud. If violations are found, the ministry promises to take the strictest measures in cooperation with other authorized bodies.
