The ministry stated in a statement that only 12 oxygen stations out of 34 remain operational, amid highly complex technical and mechanical conditions, making it difficult to meet the needs of health facilities and service providers for oxygen. It also noted that only 4 oxygen cylinder filling devices out of 30 are currently working, warning they could stop at any moment, as engineering teams are unable to complete emergency maintenance interventions. The ministry stressed that oxygen availability is not a medical luxury but a lifeline for many vital and life-saving departments, noting that the remaining stations face the risk of complete paralysis in supplying hospitals and patients bedridden at home. It demanded the immediate and direct opening of routes for spare parts and necessary technical equipment to maintain oxygen stations, along with urgent emergency supply of new stations, to avoid service stoppage and its serious repercussions on patients.
