At the center of the affair are allegations by Emily Moreno, the senator's daughter and Miller's ex-wife, that he subjected her and their two-year-old daughter to violence. Court documents and police reports allege Miller pressed a gun to her head, pushed her against a wall, and threw hot water on her. One report quotes the child telling her mother, "Dad will kill you." Miller, 37, a former Trump White House staffer, denies the accusations. No charges have been filed, and prosecutors said there is insufficient admissible evidence. In a live broadcast, he claimed no court has verified any abuse allegation and described the hot water incident as a "game" in the kitchen. He accused his ex-wife of mental health issues, a claim her lawyer denied. Miller published a trove of documents, which Emily's spokesperson called "shameful."
