Court ruled: Tal Yanon Dardik will remain in custody until the end of proceedings

The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court ordered the detention of Tal Yanon Dardik until the end of proceedings, after he was charged with violating an administrative order issued against him by Central Command Major General Avi Bluth. Dardik refused to commit to complying with the order's conditions and announced a renewal of the struggle against administrative orders against settlers in Judea and Samaria.

The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court ordered the detention of Tal Yanon Dardik until the end of proceedings, following a violation of an administrative order issued against him by Central Command Major General Avi Bluth. Dardik, who was arrested again, refused to commit to complying with the order's conditions and announced a renewal of the struggle against administrative orders against settlers in Judea and Samaria. According to him, "The only citizens in Israel against whom administrative orders are issued are the settlers in Judea and Samaria, we must not agree to this. I am embarking on a struggle against this – I do not agree to comply with the order, I will sit in prison and will not sign that I am willing to comply with this absurd order. We must stop Avi Bluth's persecution of the settlement." Within hours of his arrest, the Judea and Samaria District Police filed an indictment against him for violating the order. The indictment alleged that Dardik failed to report twice daily for signing at the Modi'in Illit police station. Attorney Nati Rom, representing Dardik on behalf of the Honenu organization, opposed the request for detention until the end of proceedings and attacked the prosecution's position: "Since when is someone who does not sign at a police station detained until the end of proceedings?"
