Moti Leitner, chairman of the Haredi Public Party, claims in an interview that attempts to establish schools with core studies in Haredi cities were blocked by threats from the chairman of a certain movement. Leitner criticizes the old Haredi representation, calls for responsibility for a shared future, and declares support for drafting Haredim who do not study Torah into the IDF.

In an interview with 103FM, Moti Leitner, chairman of the Haredi Public Party, sharply attacked the traditional Haredi representation and presented his party as an authentic alternative. Leitner claimed that in all Haredi cities there were attempts to establish schools that would teach core studies, but they were blocked by threats: "The chairman of a certain movement goes to the homes of principals who are considering doing this and threatens them with thuggery." According to him, the failure of core studies left young Haredim without tools and skills, and made Haredi children the poorest in Israel. Leitner called for responsibility for the shared future and the state, and expressed support for drafting Haredim who do not study Torah into the IDF, while proposing to establish additional companies modeled on the Hashmonaim Brigade. He also addressed attempts to weaken his party, claiming that frightened activists are spreading disinformation and conspiracies.
