Contrary to statements: first international forces arrived to begin Gaza reconstruction
The 'Tzav 9' movement and the Otef Israel Forum published footage from the American base at Kerem Shalom, showing that first international forces have arrived in Gaza to begin reconstruction in areas under IDF control, contrary to statements. The forum said the statements refer only to Hamas-controlled areas, while 'Tzav 9' called it a "terrible lie" and announced a protest on 25.08.
Contrary to policy statements, the 'Tzav 9' movement and the Otef Israel Forum published today (Tuesday) footage from the American base at Kerem Shalom, showing that first forces of the international stabilization force and other international forces have arrived in the Gaza Strip ahead of the start of reconstruction in areas under IDF control beyond the yellow line. The Otef Israel Forum explained that yesterday's statements, according to which reconstruction will not begin before Hamas is disarmed, refer only to Hamas-controlled areas, and that according to Article 17 of the agreement, reconstruction in areas where the IDF controls will begin in the coming weeks. They said that the international forces and the 'Peace Council' have begun preliminary patrols, while Hamas continues to strengthen, and announced: "As residents of the Otef, we will not allow this to happen." The 'Tzav 9' movement called the move a "terrible lie and illusion," claiming that reconstruction before the full disarmament of Hamas means rebuilding terrorist infrastructure. They announced a protest at Kerem Shalom next Tuesday, 25.08, in protest against "the abandonment of the security of Otef residents."
