Prices start at $1,117 one-way, and some classes are already full. Delta is also expected to resume its flights in September. In recent months, El Al and Arkia have dominated the direct flight market to the US, with El Al surging to a 92.3% market share in the last quarter, compared to 75.7% in the corresponding quarter last year. Israir received a license this week from the Civil Aviation Authority to operate flights to the US on a specially purchased aircraft, which will increase competition.
