A clothing item belonging to missing Eldar Yitzhak Dayan, a 23-year-old from Dimona, was found today (Tuesday) on the side of a road in Petah Tikva by a municipal policing team and Petah Tikva police officers, and was sent for testing. This is part of the investigation being conducted at the Dimona police station in the Southern District. Yesterday, a significant development occurred when two of Dayan's friends were arrested on suspicion of giving conflicting accounts regarding the circumstances of his disappearance. Dayan has been missing since July 17, when he was last seen in the Yarkon Park area of Tel Aviv. On July 18, a report was received about a vehicle abandoned near a gas station in Petah Tikva; eyewitnesses noticed suspects removing a license plate and fleeing. Examination of the vehicle revealed bloodstains and a shattered windshield, raising suspicion of involvement in an accident. Forensic investigators are collecting evidence from the scene.
