The Israeli prosecution filed an indictment with the Be'er Sheva District Court against two brothers from Rahat — 22-year-old Yusef al-Bahiri and 26-year-old Hassan al-Bahiri. They are accused of shooting and threatening members of their own family amid a conflict between the parties. According to the case materials, about a month ago, in the evening, Yusef climbed onto the roof of his home with an automatic rifle and fired numerous shots toward relatives and the road, shouting threats. The relatives took cover behind a parked car, which sustained 21 bullet holes. Concurrently, Hassan approached the rear of the relatives' home with an object resembling a firearm and threatened to shoot. The prosecution requested that the defendants be held in custody until the end of legal proceedings, noting the high danger of individuals possessing weapons. Yusef faces charges of attempted grievous harm, illegal possession of a weapon, shooting, and intentional damage to property. Hassan is charged with threats. The investigation is being conducted by the Rahat police.
