The court has cleared for publication the names of Omri Peretz and Maxim Barberman, two suspects in the murder of Eldar Dayan, a resident of Dimona. Dayan was found this week lifeless in an open area near Yarkon Junction, about 50 meters from the convenience store at the Paz gas station, where he was last seen on Saturday, July 18, together with the two detainees. The two, friends of Dayan, were arrested after his disappearance, and their detention was extended several times. After days of maintaining their right to silence, they began to talk in the investigation. Peretz's interrogation began just minutes after he met with his attorney, Adv. Chen Ben Baruch. Over the weekend, Barberman was questioned and also began to talk. Police sources told Maariv: "In the coming days, we will know exactly what happened in the last moments of Eldar Dayan, may he rest in peace." Investigators are also examining two motorcycle helmets found in the area and the vehicle in which the three traveled, which was found abandoned near the gas station after its license plates were removed.
