Cleared for publication: Bedouin from the Negev suspected of planning attack at 'Forum' club

In a joint investigation by the police and Shin Bet, Abdullah Gargawi, a 20-year-old resident of Segev Shalom, was arrested on suspicion of planning a car bomb attack at the 'Forum' club in Be'er Sheva. He is suspected of contact with a foreign agent, possession of weapons and ammunition, and consuming ISIS content. This morning, a serious indictment was filed against him.

The police and Shin Bet uncovered and foiled a plot for a car bomb attack in Be'er Sheva. Abdullah Gargawi, a 20-year-old resident of Segev Shalom, was arrested last month in a joint operation by the Yoav unit and officers of the Segev Shalom station. According to the suspicion, he planned to carry out an attack at the 'Forum' club using a booby-trapped vehicle. The investigation revealed that he was exposed to ISIS content, identified with its ideology, and made contact with a figure who presented himself as a Palestinian terror activist. He is also suspected of possessing an illegal weapon resembling an M16, and in 2025 he held many weapons in his home, including a MAG and a Kalashnikov. This morning, a serious indictment was filed against him at the Be'er Sheva District Court.
