Rahat will soon operate a new and advanced security system, including cameras installed at hot spots and a dedicated drone, connected directly to the police control room. The system is designed to identify shooting and violence incidents in real time, shorten response times, and enhance personal security in the city. The control room will enable rapid identification of events and immediate dispatch of police forces, Magen David Adom, firefighters, and municipal maintenance teams. The equipment will be installed mainly at high points and dedicated masts to prevent sabotage. The project is being established in cooperation with the Bloomberg Foundation, the Authority for Community Security, and the Western Negev Cluster, and constitutes a milestone in strategic projects to eradicate crime. Monitoring and operation of the center will be carried out outside the municipality's jurisdiction to prevent conflicts and foreign interests.
