The Ministry of Religious Services and the Chief Rabbinate of Israel issued an unusual clarification in response to publications by the 'Anachnu Techelet' association, which presented itself as operating in full cooperation with the Chief Rabbinate and offering couples personal accompaniment, support, and assistance in arranging forms and approvals ahead of marriage registration. The clarification stated that the publication is incorrect, and that no cooperation exists between the official bodies and the association. It was further emphasized that the association was not granted approval, was not given authorization, and there is no institutional connection between it and the Chief Rabbinate or the Ministry of Religious Services. The clarification is not limited to this association alone, but applies to any association, organization, or private entity presenting itself as operating in cooperation with the Rabbinate or the Ministry without official approval and accreditation. The Rabbinate and the Ministry noted that the marriage registration process in Israel is carried out only through the regional rabbinate offices and official systems, and that no private entity or association is authorized to act on their behalf. Consequently, they called on the public to contact the rabbinate offices directly and avoid relying on unauthorized bodies.
