Chief of Staff visits wounded ahead of holiday: "I salute you"

The Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, visited yesterday (Tuesday) the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer and met with wounded IDF soldiers, including commanders and fighters injured in the war. Zamir spoke with them and their families about the circumstances of their injuries, recovery and rehabilitation processes, and expressed appreciation for their spirit and determination.

The Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, visited yesterday (Tuesday) the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer, ahead of Rosh Hashanah. During the visit, Zamir met with wounded IDF soldiers, including commanders and fighters injured in the war. The Chief of Staff toured the various departments and spoke with the wounded and their families about the circumstances of their injuries, the recovery and rehabilitation processes, and the journey they have undergone since being wounded. Zamir expressed his appreciation for their spirit, determination, and contribution to the security of the state. He also expressed his great appreciation for the medical teams, the casualty administration personnel, and the casualty management system for their important work. In his remarks, Zamir said: "I came to see you before the new year, and I am moved by what I have seen here. There are fighters here who stood at the front, led, and put their lives at risk in combat against the enemy—this is bravery in battle. Now you are in a campaign that requires additional courage for rehabilitation from injury. I and the entire IDF appreciate your sacrifice and contribution. Our duty is to stand by your side and accompany you on the rehabilitation journey. We walk together with you all along the way." Zamir concluded: "I salute you. May this be a better year: a year of security and hope, a year of unity and victory. A year in which you continue to stand strong and be a source of pride for the entire nation."
