Cheney wasn't fooled by the White House show: 'Not a meeting to build a wall with'

Maj. Gen. (res.) Eliezer Marom stated in an interview with 103FM that the meeting between Netanyahu and Trump was primarily a political show, lacking substantive content. According to him, the meeting was not a one-on-one but included teams from both sides, and amounted to presenting positions, handshakes, and smiles. Both leaders, he said, have a clear political interest in holding the meeting, as both are in election campaigns. Marom also warned of Houthi control of the Bab el-Mandeb and Hormuz straits, noting that the Houthis will allow the Chinese to transport oil tankers, in coordination with Iran. He claims that European navies are too weak to confront the threat, and only the United States can do so. Marom also expressed skepticism about the forces in southern Yemen opposing the Houthis, stating that there is no clear solution to the problem.
