The incident occurred at Rabach's home in Kiryat Arba, when Sabag demonstrated the use of his pistol and a bullet was discharged, hitting Rabach and causing his death. The indictment, filed by the Police Internal Investigations Department in October 2025, also charges Sabag with recklessness and negligence with a weapon and illegal possession of a weapon. The department's request to publish his name was approved by the District Court, and Sabag's appeal was rejected by the Supreme Court, which emphasized that the permission pertains only to these charges.
