CEC Issues Severe Reprimand to Netanyahu for Campaigning (VIDEO)

Israel's Central Elections Committee issued a severe reprimand to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for publishing a campaign video filmed at the Malha Mall in Jerusalem. CEC Chairman Judge Noam Sohlberg ordered the video removed, as it featured children, which is prohibited by law. The order has not yet been complied with.

The Chairman of Israel's Central Elections Committee, Judge Noam Sohlberg, issued a severe reprimand to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for publishing a campaign video filmed at the Malha Mall in Jerusalem. Sohlberg ordered the immediate removal of the video from social and other online platforms, as it featured children, which is prohibited by Israeli law. Additionally, the video was posted simultaneously on official state resources and Netanyahu's personal accounts, which also violates electoral norms prohibiting the use of official status and state resources for campaigning. As of now, the CEC's order has not been complied with. Earlier, Kursor reported on an investigation suggesting that a series of bets on the Polymarket platform could indicate an attempt to artificially boost Netanyahu's positions in forecasts ahead of the elections.
