Aviyor Sasson, the main suspect in the murder of Binyahu Razi, was captured after a lengthy police chase. He was arrested in a taxi on his way to Jerusalem, in the Harel Tunnel. Meanwhile, a prison service officer was arrested on suspicion of aiding him and obstructing the investigation.
Aviyor Sasson, one of the main suspects in the murder case of Binyahu Razi, was captured today (Tuesday) after a lengthy police chase. The Jerusalem District Central Unit employed all means to uncover his hiding place. During his escape, he hid in various locations in central and northern Israel. He was arrested in a taxi on his way to Jerusalem, in the Harel Tunnel, after being identified by detectives who raided the vehicle. The suspect was transferred for questioning at the Crime Fighting Unit of the Zion District, and will later be brought before a judge for a remand extension. Meanwhile, a 34-year-old prison service officer from Hod Hasharon was arrested on suspicion of aiding him while obstructing the investigation and breach of trust, following intelligence received by the prison service. The suspect was transferred for questioning at the Jerusalem District YILP offices.
