Burning of Two Mosques in Nablus and Tulkarm as Part of a Wave of Widespread Terrorist Attacks

Settlers set fire to two mosques in Nablus and Tulkarm at dawn on Sunday, as part of a series of attacks that included burning vehicles and writing racist slogans. Residents of Beit Furik thwarted an attempt to burn a house. The Ministry of Endowments condemned the targeting and considered it a violation of international law.

Groups of settlers launched a series of simultaneous attacks in several areas of the occupied West Bank at dawn and morning on Sunday, including the burning of two mosques in the Nablus and Tulkarm governorates, along with burning vehicles and machinery, assaulting Palestinians, and writing racist slogans on property. In Nablus, settlers set fire to the "Al-Rahma" mosque in the village of Qusra and wrote slogans threatening revenge. In Beit Furik, residents thwarted an attempt to burn a house. In Tulkarm, settlers burned the mosque in the village of Kur. The attacks extended to Ramallah, Qalqilya, and Jericho. The Ministry of Endowments condemned the burning of the mosques and considered it a crime against holy sites and a violation of international law.
