"BRICS" renews its call to stop "Israel's" violations in Gaza and support the mandate of "UNRWA"

Leaders of the BRICS group, at their 18th summit held in India, reaffirmed their support for the rights of the Palestinian people to their land and holy sites, expressing firm rejection of forced displacement and the denial of the inalienable rights of Palestinians. The summit's statement (the New Delhi Declaration) called for the implementation of relevant UN resolutions, ensuring the continuation of the ceasefire, and facilitating unimpeded humanitarian access to Gaza. The leaders expressed deep concern over the continued attacks in Gaza despite the ceasefire agreement reached in October 2025. They condemned all violations, including the use of starvation as a method of war and attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure. The declaration renewed steadfast support for UNRWA and stressed the need for full respect for its mandate. Regarding occupied Jerusalem, the leaders rejected any unilateral actions seeking to change its legal and historical status and urged respect for the sanctity of religious sites.
