Brawl between children spirals out of control: 13-year-old suspected of stabbing 12-year-old in park

A 13-year-old was arrested in Ashdod on suspicion of stabbing a 12-year-old boy in a public park during a brawl. The injured boy was taken to Assuta Hospital in mild condition. The suspect fled but was located and arrested after an investigation and review of security cameras.

A routine outing in a public park in Ashdod turned into a criminal incident when a 13-year-old boy, who arrived at the park with a knife, was involved in a brawl with a 12-year-old boy. During the fight, the suspect pulled out the knife and stabbed the younger boy, then fled the scene. The injured boy was taken to Assuta Medical Center in the city in mild condition but was very agitated. Police received a report of the incident and began efforts to locate the suspect, including collecting evidence, taking testimonies, and reviewing security cameras in the park area. After investigative efforts, the suspect was located, arrested, and taken for questioning. Subsequently, a decision will be made whether to open legal proceedings against him, and if so, he will be brought to a hearing on extending his detention at the Ashkelon Magistrate's Court.
