Blue Bird Airline Launches New Flights from Israel to Italy

Greek airline Blue Bird Airways will launch new flights from Israel to Italy starting September 2026, including routes to Rome, Bologna, and Naples. Flights will operate from Ben-Gurion Airport in partnership with TUS Airways. Round-trip tickets start at €270. Rome flights begin September 3, Bologna on September 2, and Naples on September 16. Greek airline Blue Bird Airways is expanding its flight program from Israel to Italy. Starting September 2026, the carrier will operate flights from Ben-Gurion Airport to Rome, Bologna, and Naples, complementing the existing route to Milan-Bergamo. Flights to Rome start on September 3: initially three times a week, and daily from September 13. Flights to Bologna begin on September 2 and will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Flights to Naples start on September 16 twice a week (Wednesday and Friday), with an additional Monday flight from September 25. Flights will be operated in partnership with TUS Airways. Round-trip tickets start at €270. Ynet journalists checked prices on the company's website: Rome from October 3 to 10 – from €276, Bologna from September 14 to 16 – from €293, Naples from September 16 to 18 – from €310. Prices do not include baggage or wheeled cabin luggage up to 10 kg. Blue Bird's Deputy CEO Amit Sagi noted high demand for Italian destinations. Earlier, on August 10, airline 'Sandor' from the El Al group announced the launch of direct flights to Verona starting October 25.
