Her record on Israel and antisemitism worried Wisconsin Jews and senior Democrats; she appeared with Israel critics and apologized for her previous opposition to desecrating the Israeli flag. Crowley, who was endorsed by Governor Tony Evers, will face Republican Tom Tiffany in November. The tight race reflects the internal Democratic struggle, as also seen in Michigan. Crowley, a former state representative, has served as Milwaukee County Executive since 2020.
